Yoga for Stress Reduction

An event every week that begins at 6:30pm on Tuesday, repeating until February 12, 2019

 

The stress response is necessary for survival – it spurs us to action when we’re in a dangerous situation. Chronic stress on the other hand, has no benefits, often is the cause of headaches and neck and shoulder pain, and is one of the factors in conditions such as heart disease, metabolic syndrome, and diabetes. Yoga can help! In this 7-week series, we will follow a proven Viniyoga protocol for alleviating and working with stress. We will start with simple yoga techniques, coordinated with mindful breathing, and then progress to stronger poses.

 

This series will be offered at WESTMED/White Plains (210 Westchester Ave.) on Tuesdays 6:30PM – 7:30PM, January 8, 15, 22, 29, February 5, 12. The series price is $70 (no substitutes, no makeups except for weather cancellations); or you can use your 10-class card (good for 3 months at any of my classes) which is $135 ($120 for seniors), drop-in fee is $16. Minimum enrollments required for this class to run.
